SzMK Executive Committee Meeting
The next meeting of the SzMK Executive Committee will be online via Google Meet on Monday January 27th at 19:00. This meeting is open to all who would like to be involved in the leadership of the SzMK, as well as those who already accepted a role.
The current members of the SzMK Executive Committee are listed online at http://www/szmk.org/bizottsagok.
The main discussion topics will be the upcoming events focused on the IB meeting and the March 15th luncheon.
Parents and Friends Bi-MonthlyMeeting
This year we have an extra responsibility with the bi-annual IB meeting being held in New Brunswick. Also, there is a looming crisis as no one has stepped up to take ownership of the March 15th luncheon.
We are trying a new approach this year to help match people to appropriate tasks. On Friday January 31st, we will hold our mid-year parents and friends meeting. We will have a “shift pick” event. All the different tasks and responsibilities will be posted and we will go through the roster of families starting with the most senior to the least senior and each family will select a task from the board. We will continue to do this until all the tasks are filled for the IB meeting and the March 15th luncheon.
If no representative of the family can be at the meeting to select shifts, then you MUST select a proxy to pick for you as there will be NO exceptions. If you are not present and you do not select a proxy, then someone will be assigned to pick for you. The results of the shift pick will be published online at http://www.szmk.org.
KMCSSZ Steering Committee Meeting
The KMCSSZ Steering Committee is holding its bi-annual meeting in New Brunswick this February 14th, 15th, and 16th. This meeting is important to the global Hungarian scouting movement and IB members travel from around the world to attend and participate.
The meeting will be held at the Museum and the Scout Home. As the host city our role will be to provide meals during the meeting and to provide transportation to and from the airports for those who need it.
